In AutoCad we created a truncated cone to be cut out of cardboard with a laser cutter. We had to measure our bottle and do calculations to determine the proper length and curve of the cone. Next we designed the fins that would also be cut by the laser, we chose a design that we thought would most improve the aerodynamics of a water bottle. Next in Solidworks we designed the tube connector and nose cone using hole, shell, and revolve features. Lastly, we printed, cut, and glued it all together. Unfortunately it never got to launch!
